The vast majority of houses seem to be from the same era (all pre 1970s) with a few modern private houses north of
Citate Di Ravello. To me this indicates that the economy must have gotten in trouble after that. The few modern houses and all the modern cars could be a recent thing, all from the last 15 or so years. This must mean that
Sebastiano Di Ravello is the best thing that could have happend to Medici, because all evidence (speculation) suggests that the economy was doing very poorly until his time, but now there's lots of new cars and the economy (military industrial complex) seems to be helping people out.

But at the same time, the oppressed towns have lots of closed stores, indicating poor economy, so it's kind of contradictory.

Store closures? Well, there is a war going on, so I guess people do not wanna spend, as they might need the money. And if people do not buy, then shops do not sell. Also, more people might be getting arrested for being in the opposition - and the arrested might also be store owners.

And the old houses... Well, I explained it with the price bubble thing.
