Had to share this... some sort of visual glitch I encountered. Probably has something to do with coming out of the water and rapid weapon switching?
I think the meat is some kind of preserved/cured ham, like prosciutto, based on the color and marbling. Indeed it would be very odd to serve up some fresh, uncooked, raw beef. Even if it was intended to be cooked, serving it literally right next to food that's ready to eat is a great way to cause cross-contamination.
The dip in the center might be tzatziki (or some variant of it), a kind of dip in found in the eastern Mediterranean made from yogurt (and yes, it traditionally includes dill). This would make sense to be paired with cheese, meat, and olives.
The yellow triangles are probably cheese. The reason they have an outside layer is because they're served with the rind (as is commonplace in fine dining). The cheese looks fairly soft, I would assume it's something like Brie.
These are just my best guesses. Unfortunately, we may never know for certain. No clue why they wouldn't explicitly state what kind of food is on Di Ravello's platter, which is only on screen for like ten seconds. One of life's greatest mysteries. /s

It's very difficult to do, it's not just you. There was a patch that decreased the amount of time you have to get over to it, and unless you do it pretty much perfectly you won't make it. The way I did it was going down the beach part as much as possible (because it's flat and there's no obstacles), hitting that rock at the very end to get more speed (aim for the left side to flip the car), and placing explosives on the car before you start and detonating them right after you bail. Hope this helps.

Rico, no diff. He is strangely similar to Batman though, main difference being Batman says stuff like "if you kill a killer, the amount of killers in the world stays the same", whereas Rico would say "what if I kill 2 killers?"
Noticed on the map, this is Lago Salado. It doesn't look like this in actual gameplay, idk why it looks like this here. Either way... looks a little suspect. Like we might have... an imposter among us.
Among Us release date: June 15th, 2018
Just Cause 4 release date: December 4th, 2018
It's highly unlikely but it could have been intentional! JC4 predicted amogus confirmed?!?!
Well, here we are. I finally decided to buy and play through Dare Devils of Destruction (it was on sale). I had just completed my second 100% completion of JC4, and wanted all achievements, so I figured I'd actually do it.
It was pretty cool ig. Anyways, here's the screenshot (Danger Rising is bugged, it says 92% even after doing everything)
7/10 don't like racing games but this DLC was actually pretty fun.
I think I would want to be Di Ravello. Looking at the other antagonists, you notice a trend: they are well and truly hated by everyone. Most of Pandak Panay's military hates him, his colonels are either traitors or on drugs and suffering, not to mention the fact even the U.S. does (and not even for the oil, they had no idea of the vast oil reserves). Oscar Espinosa commands a decent amount of respect by telling people he's saving them, when he's doing the opposite in reality, but the existence of El Abismo and the ability of the AoC to sway people so quickly shows it's all a facade, he doesn't have much real power. Hell, his top general turns against him (rightfully so, but still) at the end. But Di Ravello is different. He fought his way up through he ranks, he didn't just kill his dad (like the previous 2 mentioned). He earned the respect of nearly the entire country of Medici. While propaganda does have a role in Di Ravello's popularity, the people of Medici seem to get along fine. Dissidents are sent to work the mines, yes, but the majority of Medicians who obey seem to live pleasant lives. Besides the whole burning of the north, Di Ravello doesn't actually kill his own people just 'cause (nice), or force them to join the military. The people obey out of fear, yes, but I believe many simply live better lives under him, and they respect him. To me, the fact the Rebellion spread so quickly seems unrealistic, I honestly believe that it would be hard to convince people to turn against Di Ravello and go live in some decrypt ruin instead.
Me using my alt account:🌚
Medici's name sake seems to come from an historically important Italian lineage:
(Also, they originated from the Mugello region. Very on-the-nose.)
Panau shares a name with a genus of moth, but more significantly it's one letter off from another Pacific Island not too far from Asia...
I couldn't find anything about San Espirito that wasn't about JC. Though, the island is very clearly inspired by Panama, where the U.S. toppled a dictator for their own personal gain. And what was the name of that operation? Operation Just Cause. (Also note, this would have been much more topical in 2006 when Just Cause was released. It would have been about as thought about as the Iraq war is to us now)
Yeah may have accidentally missed my 3rd anniversary of being on the wiki... whoops.
I haven't been too terribly active, but I still pop in from time to time. It's been my job for a few months by now to update the featured article every week. Besides that, I've made some good progress on JC4:IW (my FF project), so that's cool I guess. I'll try to be a little more active, but I'm a kind of busy in the real world, so eh.
Here's to another year of being part of this great community!
So I just finished the mission "Taking Care of the Dishes" in JC2 and noticed that hole where the receiver came from was closing. I managed to just sneak in the pit before the door closed.
It's nothing remarkable inside, but there's no way to get out, every surface is solid and sealed. I tried escaping with Extraction, but you can!t get a signal anywhere inside. The only escape was a few grenades to Rico, but it made me realize that if you got in there with no weapons that can be used against yourself, and you saved the game (or it autosaves after the mission), that you what basically be soft-locked and there would be no way to progress. Woah. Pic below is inside the pit.
Here comes the detailed analysis🤓
Okay, the issue is, we don't know how large any of the militaries are in the game series. If we look at it from a gameplay perspective, then there's an infinite amount of most vehicles, weapons, and infantry. Of course, this is ridiculous and impossible, but if we assume what we see in the game is 100% real, then they get the easiest dub known to man. However, there's no way it's actually infinite.
So how many forces are there really? Let's be generous and assume between the four island nations there's about 3.5 million people. Almost a million per nation sounds about right, based on their size a population density. Now, what are our military forces? Not every citizen is a soldier. Since all of these countries are hyper-militarized, let's assume about a third of all citizens are in the military, and another third are in various rebel groups. That leaves around 2.3 million troops. I'll throw in an extra half a million, since Solís's military is the Black Hand (the games suggest they are a massive entity), and "all main military forces" would entail the entire Black Hand. Cool, so we're looking at about ~2.8 million troops between San Esperito, Panau, Medici, and Solís.
But uh oh... that "all main military forces" strikes again. The Japanese military are present in Panau, so we have to count the ~250k active + ~50k reserve as troops (assuming JC Japan is similar to IRL Japan), bringing our total to about 3.1 million. But wait! There's more! The Agency! It seems to be a blend of the CIA and the Navy SEALs. Great. Now since they're going to be fighting alternate universe United States, it won't take away from the enemy, I'll just say there's around 50k troops and agents in The Agency, and call it a grand total of ~3.2 million troops.
Whew. Okay. Pretty sizable army. It contains the San Esperitan Military, the Rioja Cartel, the Montano Cartel, the PRASE, the Panauan Military, the Reapers, the Roaches, the Ular Boys, the Medici Military, the Medici rebellion, the Black Hand, the AoC, The Agency, and the Japanese military. So how many troops does the U.S. have? Around 2 million. Surprisingly less than our military.
But troops aren't everything. How well armed are they? Are they well trained? Well, only about half of our troops are actually militarily trained, but that doesn't mean the others are useless. There seems to be no short supply of helicopters, fighter jets and bombers, warships, tanks, and armored cars. No shortage of funds either. Assuming it's sudden death, every country involved using their full resources, then there's the power of 5 countries' full military, plus a decent helping of whatever funding The Agency gets, going into the military. Also donations, drug money, and companies help quite a bit too. I'd argue all of this put together rivals the funding for the U.S. Military.
So now put it all together, who would win? I would have to say the JC Universe, if not for all the countries involved, if not for the powerful weaponry, if not even for the sheer number of troops...
Then for just one man... (you all know who) *mic drop*
Sorry for text wall btw
Honestly I kinda forgot they were even doing it. I wasn't too excited when they announced it, and wasn't surprised when they missed the release date... by years. And now it's all joever. No more JC:M (Yay?).
Let's hope they have learned from their mistakes while working on this to make Just Cause 5 the best one yet!
Just Cause 4 is solid, though it's not as good as 3. Like JC<JC2<JC3, but JC4 is about as good as JC2.
(The DLC is really good though, on par with JC3)
Looks like bavarium is more powerful than even Di Ravello thought, that's a over hundred km/h more than the record! (for irl helicopters, that is)
In my playthroughs, I've always had difficulty with Porto Vena. I don't know if it's the large size, the amount of chaos objects, the amount of enemies, if I just usually do it fairly early on, or a combination of multiple, but it's the hardest for me, unless of course Falco Maxime still has the FOW.
Muammar Gaddafi was a general who had seized control over a country (Libya), and a civil war that spanned a few years ended after he was shot and killed by his very own golden handgun. Sound familiar? Images also provided.
If not direct inspiration, then it's a damn interesting coincidence.
Just look at the engraving on the weapons!
Danger rising was scrumptious. It had the right balance of gameplay and story. It was the perfect difficulty to hone my Just Cause 4 skills. The hoverboard was a perfect addition to Rico's toolset. And it just felt really Just Cause-y.
Honestly better than 95% of the base game
She's supposed to be annoying, it's part of her character. They dynamic between her is that Rico is like two opposites working together: she's energetic, snappy, and overall crazy while Rico is more well-rounded, straight-to-the-point, and logical. This of course also contrasts what they do (a movie director of an almost unknown studio, and a mercenary looking to overthrow the government)
i agree about espinosa he sucks
