The '13 Vigueur is a sports car in Just Cause 3.
Appearance[]
It's a 4-door luxury car, which is listed as a sports car in the Rebel drop list, seemingly because it has excellent acceleration. In real life it would be classified as a super saloon.
It bears a resemblance to the Bentley Continental Flying Spur and First Generation Mercedes CLK. The front lights also resemble a Mercedes CLK, but the second generation instead. The front bumper seems to come from a CLK Black Series. There is also some similarities to the Bentley Mulsanne Speed.
The hood ornament also resembles the Spirit of Ecstasy.
In-game description: "Kerner's 2013 Vigueur combines a powerful drivetrain and classic styling into one of the most elegant and capable luxury vehicles touring Medici today."
When the car appears in the random encounter, the guy being picked up will always criticize the '05 Charmant for the poor condition of the interior. This could mean that either the limousine is always in a poor state of maintenance, or that the '13 Vigueur is a much better car.
Looking through the windows, it's possible to see that there's a screen in the dashboard and 2 monitors on the back of the front seat headrests, along with 2 folding trays below the monitors. This is a common feature on luxury cars like this.
The exhaust is fake, as there are actually 2 little pipes inside the fake exhaust. These are likely the real exhaust pipes.
Performance[]
This car can reach almost 300 km/h and hits 100 km/h in a little over 3 seconds. The car is heavy, which makes cornering more of a chore, and shouldn't be driven at high speeds on curving Medici roads.
Due to frequently appearing broken on the side of a road, it's the least reliable modern car in the Just Cause Universe. Even Autostraad D700s can appear broken down but not smoking. The broken one will still function just fine, but the hood will stay open and the front of the engine emits black smoke. This may just be a parody of English cars being unreliable, even though statistically English cars aren't unreliable.
Locations[]
- At N 40 47.040 E 5 40.875.
- In traffic at towns such as Perla Est, Bellevia and Vista Fonte.
- In a random encounter it may be broken at the side of a road and you may be tasked with killing the owner (a government informant). The car has a smoking engine and the hood is up, but it's still able to be driven. The hood can not be closed.
- After bringing one to a garage, it can be called in at any time via Rebel drop.
Trivia[]
- Vigueur means "strength" in French.
- This is a successor to the Fusilier Commander from Just Cause and a predecessor of the Kerner 16' Vigeur from Just Cause 4.
- It is manufactured by the fictional company Kerner.
- The Vigueur's engine produces sound that is very similar to a Mercedes V8 engine sound.
