Ancient Tombs are collectible items in Just Cause 3.

Tomb

Description[]

The tombs are culturally significant to Medici and a part of what this wiki knows about Ancient Medici.

They are shaped like a small round hill, surrounded by small stone wall. These hills are always covered by the same type of vegetation: Grass and blue flowers. The vegetation makes most of the tombs easy enough to spot from an aircraft. On one side is an inaccessible, but flimsy-looking wooden door with 4 metal hinges. The doorway is also surrounded by stone walls, indicating that there's an interior room with stone walls and ceiling. It's possible to see through the cracks in the door that there's a 1 meter long room with black walls behind it, giving the impression that the rest of the interior is too dark to see.

After interacting with it, Rico will make the sign of the cross and a flagpole with a rebel flag will appear, marking it as collected.

Function[]

Ancient tombs are a type of Collectable Items in Medici.

After finding all 23, the Urga Stupka-210 mortar will be unlocked in the Rebel drop. An Urga Stupka-210 is found behind each tomb, but will no longer spawn there if the specific tomb is completed. After finding and paying respects to a tomb (by pressing the "interact" button (default E on PC)), a Rebellion flag will appear on a pole next to the tomb, indicating that you have found it.

Locations[]

They are only found in Insula Striate.

The coordinates below are the locations for the tombs. They are not too hard to find, as in most cases, they are the only raised ground in the area. In addition, the brightly colored flowers attract attention.

Trivia[]

  • "Ancient tombs" make a return in Just Cause 4, where the nation has many large ancient ruins and pyramids. At least half of the ancient buildings and ruins in Solís are some type of tombs.
  • The reason a mortar is given as a reward is unknown. It doesn't seem to have any relation to the tomb, given that it's clearly newer than the structure.
