The Bald Eagle - Persuader (prototype) and the Bald Eagle Persuader are high-performance boats in Just Cause (1).

Appearance

The boat is shaped similarly to a F1 boat and it's powered by an unknown type of engine (see below). Having two hulls, it's a catamaran.

Engine

It sounds like a jet engine, but there's no actual blue jet exhaust, as can be seen on aircraft. The rear end of the engine doesn't have a hole and it's shaped like the business end of an electric megaphone. It may be meant to be a sonic engine where the boat is pushed forward by powerful sound waves with a frequency above what humans can hear. In this case the jet-like sound produced by the engine is caused by something else, like for example the engine's cooling system.

Performance

The Bald Eagle Persuader, like many other smaller watercraft, has little to no armor. Its speed makes it among the fastest boats in the whole series and allows it to easily avoid trouble simply by outrunning threats.

The Agency variant is armed with front-facing machine guns and missile launchers. This gives the already fast vehicle a great deal of firepower, but in general are of limited use due to the rarity of situations where it could possibly see action.

Trivia

• There was a myth that if you rode it at maximum speed for a long time, it would take off and become an aircraft. This has been disproven.
• The "Bald Eagle" part of the name refers to the Bald Eagle bird, which is the national bird of the United States.
• It's unknown how the prototype ended up at that cartel villa. A possible explanation could include that this vehicle was once a high-end speedboat owned by civilians, and that The Agency bought some and weaponized their version.
• Two other vehicles with unusual engine types in the game are the McKenzie-Fergusson F2 Victor and Stirling STL-3 Octavio. The Bald Eagle Persuader is still the only boat out of all three.
• The Just Cause 2 and Just Cause 3 successors to this boat are the MTA Powerrun 77 and Loochador respectively.
• The one that spawns at the Camp Grouper safehouse is apparently not programmed as a heavy drop vehicle. This is probably what allows the player to order another one with out running into the vehicles in action limit.
• It is the only heavy drop vehicle not packaged in a crate when dropped and can only be requested when in water.
• Some game file(s) have an apparent duplicate name for this vehicle named "Kittyhawk".
