Bandar Pekan Lama is a village in Just Cause 2.
Description[]
The village is one of the largest in East Tanah Raya. It is located at a T-junction of an M2 Highway frontage road and a dirt road leading further south to Kampung Tanah Runtuh. It has many different types of residential houses and a Market. In the north west, a "Baby" Panay Statue facing a nearby highway bridge, is located.
The northern part around the junction features a high, industrial building of some sort and a water tower. Next to the industrial building sits a Propaganda Trailer. To the west, a military Checkpoint is erected across the frontage road. There are also two market halls with a letter box and two telephone booths in front. This part of the village consists mainly of wooden residential houses. Those close to the industrial building and the highway are simple cabins while those opposite the market hall are more advanced. One of these is a two-story building. A park can be found in the north eastern part of the village.
The southern part of the village, further down the dirt road, is dominated by a large, pyramidal building that appears to be a closed market hall. The residential houses have stone walls, are two-storied, and most have a garage in the ground floor. From here, another dirt road branches off to the west leading to a third part of the village. Two thatched roof buildings and three small huts can be found here along with a Cash stash.
The four fuel depots are also located in this part, being guarded by Colonel Sulung. Colonel Sulung was born here. He has succeeded in preventing the surrounding rice paddies to be used for illegal purposes and keeps gang presence in the village to a minimum. He's hailed as a hero among the villagers.
Just outside the village in the south, some strange terraces can be found. They may be used for cultivation and could have some connection to the rice paddies mentioned in Colonel Sulung's PDA database file.
