The Bloodhound Siege Heli is a helicopter in Just Cause 4

Appearance[]

This is a heavy attack helicopter.

The helicopter is primarily based on a Mil Mi-24 in the fuselage and cockpit, with the coaxial rotors from a Kamov Ka-50/52.

The helicopter has a payload of machine guns and missiles on its stub wings, along with drop tanks. Various devices can be seen in the nose and the pilot sits in the gunner's seat from real-life helicopters.

If you decide to count all seats on this chopper because you have nothing else to do, then you will notice it can carry 6 soldiers in the back, along with a pilot and co-pilot, making this helicopter capable of carrying up to 8 soldiers, although only the pilot seat is ever used.

Performance[]

Easily one of the slowest helicopters in the game, but combines the offensive capabilities of both the Firebrand Scout Chopper (machine gun) and Spectre Attack Helicopter (missiles). It's also the most durable and armored attack helicopter. Unrealistically, the Bloodhound Siege Heli has the ability to survive two "standard" explosions before the third blows it up, making it almost as durable as all the tanks. Even if it is armored, an attack/transport heli in real life is much less armored than a tank and would be destroyed upon taking comparably little damage.

It comes with 1000 machine gun rounds and 100 missiles.

Trivia[]

  • Its closest equivalent is the Walker AH-16 Hammerbolt from Just Cause, as both draw inspirations from the same Mi-24 attack helicopter.
  • In the "Eye of the Storm" trailer, these helicopters were shown with even more on-board weapons than the in-game version. It would presumably had a nose-mounted machine gun as with most gunship helicopters, rocket pods where the machine guns are seen in the game and a door-mounted machine gun.
  • It is the successor to the Urga Mstitel and Urga Hrom D from Just Cause 3.
  • How it can unrealistically survive almost as much damage a tank can is a result of equalization. In real life, an actual heavy attack or armored transport helicopter should at most only be as durable or armored as an APC, not a tank.
    • This seems to have changed as of August, 2021. It now seems to be capable of taking significantly more damage, or the Fellhawk Jet Fighter has been heavily nerfed.
