The Bosphorus boatworks - Patna exclusive is a yacht in Just Cause (1).

Description[]

It's the largest player-operated civilian boat in the game. It's a two masted yacht and the only sailing boat in the game. All 3 of its sails are packed up.

The front end contains an inaccessible passenger cabin and the rear end has a set of unusable stairs.

It has two seats.

Performance[]

As a yacht, it's a sail-powered ship, so the engine is just there to give it a means of maneuvering in a port, making this the slowest private ship in the game. Unlike other ships, it can't be driven onto a beach, because of the fins under its keel.

Locations[]

  • Spawns randomly in all the waters of San Esperito, usually near cities such as Esperito City.
  • If you have trouble finding one, then one of the "random" spawn locations is about 20 meters south of the CASINO at Nuevo Estocolmo. You have to be about 80 to 100 meters away from that spot to give it room to spawn.
  • It can sometimes be seen getting stuck under low bridges.
  • At the El Tigre village, south-west of the Guerrilla 07 "Camp Debajo del Volcan" safehouse - parked at the dock along with a Trawler. This is the only place where it spawns parked.

Trivia[]

  • A part of it's name "Bosphorus" might be a reference to "Bosphorus", a strait in the Republic of Turkey.
  • The Kuang Adventure is a much older yacht of equivalent size and performance in Just Cause 2.
  • The name Patna could be derived from the ship of the same name in Joseph Conrad's book "Lord Jim".
  • This boat contains the longest name of any nautical vehicle in Just Cause (1), with 37 characters in its name including spaces.
