The Bull's Eye Assault Rifle is a weapon in Just Cause 2.

Bull's Eye Assault Rifle

A powerful semi-automatic rifle with a scope.

Apppearance

It has a loose resemblance to the cancelled XM8 Assault Rifle. Closer inspection reveals that it is really an M4 Carbine with a scope and a modified stock, with XM8 plates over it.

Performance

The Bull's Eye comes equipped with what appears to be an ACOG sight, suggesting it is actually a more powerful scope. The Bull's Eye is semi-automatic, but fires a more powerful projectile. Just like most other guns, it's able to kill a colonel in two headshots (Only one is needed using the Sniper Rifle). It's the second most powerful gun in the game, after the Sniper Rifle. It is pretty much bridges the gap between the Assault Rifle and the Sniper Rifle. It is almost perfect for sniping on top of buildings and skyscrapers in Panau City. That as well as a larger magazine means that it is somewhat more effective for sniping multiple enemies than the normal Sniper Rifle. It does however have less range than the Sniper Rifle, so think about distance as well. This may mean that the rifle is intended to be a designated marksman's weapon as a balance between a full on infantry soldier's weapon and a deadly sniper's weapon with the best of both mixed into eachother. Close quarters becomes a problem in this respect however, so it may be advisable to have a submachine gun or something similar for a backup weapon.

The Bull's Eye Assault Rifle also uses custom ammunition, meaning that the only way to get more ammunition is to purchase another one from the Black Market. This makes the most expensive weapon to keep loaded. However, it is less expensive to buy than a normal assault rifle which costs $55,000.

Locations

  • In pre-ordered copies of the game.
  • Available for purchase, as downloadable content. Once the DLC pack has been installed, the Black Market will have the (already fully upgraded) rifle available for $50,000.

Trivia

  • The Bulls Eye could be see as the successor to the Lance FDL from Just Cause (1), as they both perform as less powerful sniper rifles with larger magazines.
