The CS Wraith 225R is a submachine gun in Just Cause 3.

Appearance[]

This submachine gun has a straight magazine, but is slightly angled backwards. There's a small connecting bar between the handle and the magazine end.

This weapon is based on the KRISS Vector, while the back of the weapon is similar to the MAC-10.

The rebel drop description is "Capstone's Wraith SMG features a compact bullpup design, integrated reflex sight and ambidextrous controls. Also - it looks pretty cool, which is important."

Performance[]

At 30 rounds total (60 because always dual wielded), the Wraith has the highest magazine capacity of the SMGs and is perfect for spraying and praying. However, like the other SMGs, it can still burn through ammo very quickly, so keep ammo topped up as much as possible.

The Wraiths have a relatively low damage per shot, requiring about 1 clip (60 shots) to destroy an undamaged Fuel Tank. However, its rate of fire is higher than any other weapon in the game, shooting almost twice as fast as a CS Predator, which gives it an overall impressive damage output. When entering Precision aim, the accuracy is significantly improved, a trait shared with the other SMGs. Combined with the low recoil, this makes the gun surprisingly effective at mid-range combat as well.

In general, the Wraiths are very strong against relatively "unarmored" enemies such as the D.R.M. or Medici Military soldiers. However, it is not very effective against well-armored enemies like the Black Hand Titans. Taking this into consideration, it may be best to pair them with a high damage, close-range powerhouse like the Bavarium Splitter or Urga Vdova 89, and use the Wraiths against the weaker enemies or as a mid-range weapon using Precision aim.

Locations[]

  • Used by multiple factions.
    • Used by the D.R.M..
      • Rarely wielded by D.R.M. grunts in police stations (like Nacre). D.R.M. guards to captains are more likely to wield these, but sometimes wield Prizrak U4s.
      • Rarely wielded by D.R.M. elites. This can be seen at Surpicco's and Burgoletto's police station.
    • Dual wielded by Ghosts as their standard weapons. These are the mercenaries that are very agile.
    • Used by the Medici Military, often wielded by female Medici Military soldiers, though even these are very rare to come upon.
  • Wielded by Teo, Eva, Gregorio, and Ivan. Teo is the only one that doesn't dual wield them.
  • In weapon racks in various military bases in Medici and police stations.
  • Otherwise, Rico can obtain it through the rebel drop system.
  • As part of an unintentional bug of Mech Land Assault revamping the heat system, some Black Hand Aegis troopers (not Ghosts) use this weapon. In-universe this could be described as not enough CS Predators and having to use these SMGs only because they are the only available weapons.

Trivia[]

  • It's made by the fictional company CS.
  • It's the successor to the Aviv Scarab from Just Cause.
  • The rebel drop description would technically be misleading.
    • It describes this weapon as a bullpup, which it is not. Throughout the series, there have been many instances of some weapons being randomly labelled as bullpup weapons when they obviously are not.
    • It also claims that it has an integrated red dot sight. The weapon is not equipped with a red dot sight, and only appears with factory iron sights. It is not common for weapons to have integrated components because that makes it less compatible with other attachments and accessories.
  • A weapon resembling this weapon was seen in the promotional materials for the cancelled Just Cause: Mobile.
