Cava Grande is a mine in Just Cause 3.
Description[]
Cava Grande is Medici's largest Bavarium mine.
According to the in-game map: "True to its name, Cava Grande is the largest single mine in Medici, visible even from space. Known for harsh conditions, it has become the final resting place of over 10,000 Medician souls in the past 50 years."
There are several military outposts around the mine to protect it.
The area is under constant patrol (as are most mines) and will have many enemies. A tank would be useful here.
Completion[]
- 7 Bavarium Dump Trailers.
- 6 Bavarium Refinery Stations.
- 2 Circuit Breakers.
- 1 Core Electrical Unit.
- 10 Fuel Tanks.
- 2 Excavators.
- 4 Substation Controls.
- 9 Transformers.
The reward for completing this location is the Capstone Hydra rocket launcher unlocking in Rebel drop.
Vehicles[]
- CS Comet - One shows up if you go to some part of the mine (an area with three transformers)
- CS Odjur - Patrols around before mine liberation.
- Nashorn 6100.
- Stria Obrero.
- U41 Ptakojester - Does not normally spawn here, but it shows up during the enemy call "Bring down the strike team" (Liberation). According to an editor, this doesn't drop paratroopers. This also works after Re-Oppression.
- Urga Bkolos 2100 - Patrols around before mine liberation.
- Urga Hrom D - 2 patrol the skies before mine liberation.
- Urga Ogar 7 V8.
- Urga Szturm 63A.
- Weimaraner W3.
Trivia[]
- The name means "big mine" in Medician language.
- With that many fatal work accidents, this must be one of the worlds most hazardous industrial facilities.
- This location is marked with a "base" marker, as are the other bavarium mines across Insula Striate, despite being far from a typical military base. However, it's probably just to simplify things, rather than have unique symbols for different types of bases.
- When the enemy radio calls in "Bring down the strike team!", Rico will reply "You fly them in and I'll shoot them down.". He also makes this reply after the enemy radio calls in "Aerial strike team inbound." at other military bases.
