Cava Montana is a military base in Just Cause 3.

Description

This is one of the largest Bavarium mines.

In-game map description: "Cava Montana is the former site of Granpatre, once the third-tallest mountain in Medici. In less than a decade, the great peak became a tepid inland lake, thanks to merciless mining and demolition. Old photographs of Granpatre are collectors' items in the nearby town of Bellevia, from which Granpatre's summit was once visible."

A railroad goes through this place, with trains regularly passing through. In the mission Derailed Extraction, Rico passes by this place briefly on a train. Strangely for the size of this base, there are only 2 SAMs.

There are many quarry trucks here.

• Fittingly, as this place unlocks the Imperator Bavarium Tank for rebel drop, the Commander of this base uses the Urga Mstitel, another Bavarium shielded vehicle.
• Liberating this base unlocks five challenges, likely the most for a single settlement in Just Cause 3.
• There are Capstone FH155s on top of both excavators.
• This base has two Black Hand titans (heavily armored soldiers with heavy weapons).
