Chaerul Tunko is a character in Just Cause 2.
Quote from the PDA[]
"Colonel Chaerul Tunko has made an unsurpassed rocket-like career within the army, rising in rank from grunt to colonel in just under a year. Many ascribe this to the 'unsound swapping of bodily fluids' between him and a well-known army general."
Location[]
Chaerul Tunko is located in the Panau City park district. He can be found at the top of a cluster of taller buildings at X:3900; Y:11400. He can be found next to a helicopter, though it is not known if that helicopter is his property or not.
Trivia[]
- Some Military bases in Panau are named after generals, but locations are not usually named after living people. The only known living Panau Military general is "Boom Boom" Bohulano.
- With his PDA entry mentioning him having been promoted "from grunt to colonel in just under a year," this indicates that Col. Chaerul Tunko was commissioned at some point in his military career. In reality, after an individual enlists, they will be slotted as a "junior enlisted" individual (typically the first three or four ranks in most militaries). As the individual promotes and accumulates time in service, they may commission to be an officer, which also requires additional formal education. Given this, the description of Colonel Chaerul Tunko indicates that he is an educated serviceman. Unless of course the rumors are true and he was simply promoted by command of general.
- The gender of that general remains unknown, so the implication of the rumors about the colonel are also not completely clear, other than simply revealing a possible case of an underqualified colonel.
- In the Just Cause 2 PRIMA Guide pull-out map, Chaerul Tunko is only addressed by his name, as there is no "Colonel" rank in front of his name. This is an oversight by the author of the guide.
