The DK Pistol is a weapon and easter egg in Just Cause 3.

Description

This weapon is rather unique due to the fact that it does no damage, has infinite ammunition, and does not alert anybody upon firing it, even when the player is firing at an NPC.

Upon being picked up, Rico's head will inflate. Any NPCs shot at will also have their head inflated. When these NPCs turn into "ragdolls" by being killed, or grappled, and have their heads inflated to several times the normal size. The NPCs float to the altitude of about 2.5 km and then disappear, causing whatever is grappled to them to fall back.

For every shot fired, the NPC becomes more buoyant, despite the head no longer growing larger. This technique can be used to lift virtually any movable object given enough time and patience.

Location

There's a building edge on the side of a cliff at the town of Vico Platessa. The pistol is at one end of the edge. See the infobox picture for reference. In the picture Rico is standing in a corner.

Trivia

• This gun is a reference to the "DK Mode" cheat code in the 1997 game "GoldenEye 007", which enlarged the heads and the arms of all characters, which in turn is a reference to the appearance of Donkey Kong.

• If Doge Mode is enabled while shooting this gun, unique memes will appear referencing the gun causing people's heads to become a balloon.
• Cows, deer and mountain goats are affected by this gun in the same way human NPCs are.
• Shooting this gun at various Small Destructibles causes flames to shoot out, but Rico cannot be harmed by them and no explosions occur.
• This weapon only spawns after liberating Vico Platessa.
