General De Luca is a character in Just Cause 3.
Personal info[]
He lived at an apartment and he liked fishing at some port. He did have a fishing licence but it was stolen by Di Ravello and replaced with a fake.
Career[]
The only mentions of him are in the Di Ravello tapes.
General De Luca was a general who was assigned to the southern islands of Medici and worked with Sebastiano Di Ravello when he was assigned there.
De Luca became jealous of Di Ravello's popularity with President Dante, because of his thinking that Di Ravello was "inefficient" at his duties.
As a result of Di Ravello's set-up, one day De Luca barged into Di Ravello's office when Di Ravello was on the phone with President Dante and an argument ensued. Eventually, Di Ravello silenced De Luca by holding a single finger up (presumably the middle finger) to continue his call with President Dante. He said to Dante that he will "call him later" and De Luca was presumably fired for this disgrace.
De Luca's hobby was fishing off an unknown port, which Di Ravello had seen. Di Ravello needed a plan to coup d'état the government of Medici and needed an enemy force in Medici. His plan involved using aid from the Agency to frequently prank De Luca until he went insane. In his insanity, De Luca assaulted a police officer who received a tip (presumably from Di Ravello) that De Luca was fishing without a license.
After allegations of corruption in the Medici Military and government, De Luca disappeared without a trace and a search conducted by Medici Police Department of De Luca's dust-covered house had no evidence on De Luca's status. He founded a rebellion which led to bombings in the streets and riots, but they stopped for a short hiatus until a terrible attack occurred in Vinialetta, killing thousands of people. However, the attack at Vinialetta is heavily implied to be an inside job by Di Ravello.
After Di Ravello's coup, he was found and arrested by the D.R.M. He was sent to prison along with Dushku. They were challenged by Di Ravello to fight to the death. De Luca won the fight by stabbing Duskhu in the neck and the head. Di Ravello congratulated him, but De Luca then attempted to kill Di Ravello, only to be met with a death shot by Di Ravello's The Little General.
Trivia[]
- The rebellion started by De Luca was not the same as The Rebellion. De Lucas rebellion was easily crushed by Di Ravello's forces during the coup. "The Rebellion" which can be seen in-game was started later.
