The Ejército Revolucionario de Liberación a.k.a. "the Guerrillas" a.k.a. The Peoples Revolutionary Army of San Esperito (PRASE) is a paramilitary faction in Just Cause (1).
Description[]
They are the main force opposing Salvador Mendoza's government in San Esperito. They are led by José Caramicas, who is arrested before the events of game. An alliance between The Agency and the guerrillas is formed after the mission Breakout, in which Rico frees Caramicas from the El Grande Fort. They're also in league with the Rioja Cartel, who opposes both the government and the Montano Cartel backed by it. Their Faction color is green.
Rico can do sidemissions for them to liberate settlements and Provinces and to unlock safehouses. Higher ranks in the Guerrilla army will unlock different vehicles and weapons at the safehouses.
This faction is similar to the Reapers, in Just Cause 2. They both represent left-wing politics and want to cause a revolution.
If you complete all the storyline missions, Provincia Aguilar and Isla Dominio are guaranteed to be under their control (marked green on the PDA political map).
The name "The People's Revolutionary Army of San Esperito (PRASE)" appears only in the game manual.
Vehicles[]
The Guerrillas presumably utilize captured military vehicles alongside civilian ones.
Likely for concealment purposes, Guerrilla vehicles provided at safehouses never appear in their faction colors and symbols. Vehicles at liberated military bases also tend to retain their original livery, rather than being repainted. Examples include the Rage-Johnston F6 Comet (military decals, only found at a base) and Jackson Z-19 Skreemer (brown and unmarked safehouse spawns).

Trivia[]
- Due to a glitch that randomly turns friendly NPCs hostile during liberations, the all green camouflage soldier model was once thought to be a special forces soldier of the San Esperito Military.
- It is speculated that when an area falls under their control, they will police the area and maintain security, as a number of their vehicles spawn in guerrillas stable areas.
- They're the only faction in the game that uses the Dawson 61 Sports Model.
- Their flag is almost identical to the flag of Burkina Faso, a nation in Africa.
- The group's name translates into English as "Revolutionary Liberation Army".
