The Eviction drone is a self-propelled automated weapon in Just Cause 3.
Description[]
It is added to the game as a part of the Sky Fortress DLC.
It has 4 propellers (a "quadcopter") and is labeled with eDEN Corporation faction colors. It is mostly white with some gunmetal-gray lines and stripes outlining its pale blue neon lights and singular, bright red "targeting laser". The drone's body is big enough to stand on, grapple onto the bottom of and make a few small steps on top of.
The Rebel drop description reads, "The eDEN Corporation's heavy-hitting elite soldier. Its purpose is to deploy at a location and forcefully evict anyone unauthorized. Equipped with both anti-air and -ground weaponry, it is a very strong all-around ally."
Performance[]
The weapons are (Bavarium-based) missiles and a machine gun. They do high damage and are quite accurate, though the drone itself only has a low-to-moderate amount of health. Therefore, think of the Eviction Drone as a glass cannon, and deploy it accordingly.
If there is no Heat, the Eviction Drone simply hovers near its spawn point and does not follow the player. One should take this into account when choosing where and when to use it.
Unfortunately, in suburban and city areas, the rebel drop version is likely to crash into things and blow up. It is best to use it on or around flatter terrain, where it can gain some altitude and dodge incoming fire effectively.
The Black Hand use this drone as well, among others, in the Mech Land Assault DLC.
Versions and locations[]
eDEN Corp (white):
- Unlocked for Rebel drop after completing the "Bow Section" of the eDEN Airship.
- It is also among the drones that attack you while aboard the eDEN Airship.
Black Hand (black):
- The Black Hand utilize some to attack Rico during some "Mech Arena" challenges.
- Appears during level 3+ heat on Insula Lacrima. Also can spawn anywhere in the ocean of Medici, albeit rarely.
- Seen during Storming the Hive.
Old eDEN Corp (white, but covered with greenish moss):
- Seen at some abandoned eDEN stations. In universe this is the same as the white one. It is dirty, with chipped, faded paint and covered with moss and other plant matter from having gone without maintenance for approximately three decades.
Trivia[]
- The Rebel drop lists drones under the vehicles tab.
- The Eviction Drone fairs very well against enemy paratroopers, with its Bavarium machine gun dropping them from the sky, often before they can retaliate. It also has a strong advantage against any foot soldiers that are not armed with heavy weaponry.
- The drone has an unusually long restock time in the Rebel drop at 15 minutes, which is not reduced by any Gear Mods. This often means drones are difficult to replace when destroyed in combat.
