Fasility Gunung Timur is a military base in Just Cause 2.
Description[]
Note that the name is spelled exactly like this in the game.
It's a military complex on top of a mountain. It consists of a large concrete structure and a few other smaller buildings. It's only accessible by helicopter or Extraction. There are two helicopter landing pads, but no helicopters spawn on them. A UH-10 Chippewa will spawn in the air if you go down the bio fuel shaft and come back to the top. Still be careful, for this place has a large number of well armed troops. The base can be sorted into the group "Bio Fuel Shaft bases".
Many of the bases here could be grounded to produce ethanol of the plants in the rain forest or related bio fuels in their Fuel Shafts, sending it to airports or refineries.
Location[]
In the mountains near the south-east corner of the map. The base can only be accessed by helicopter. The base is named after the mountain it is on - Gunung Timur, meaning "East Mountain".
Vehicles[]
Although no vehicles spawn at the base itself, an UH-10 Chippewa will be summoned as backup the minute you reach the bottom of the Bio Fuel Shaft. The Chippewa can be either unarmed, or additionally equipped with dual rocket pods.
It has also apparently been reported that a H-62 Quapaw might be summoned as air support to deliver paratroopers. This might not happen every time the base is attacked.
