Rarity Only available from the Black Market
List of owners The Agency through the Black Market (really Rico Rodriguez only)

The Tuk-Tuk Boom Boom is a vehicle in Just Cause 2.

See Tuk-Tuk Boom Boom (JC4) for its Just Cause 4 version.

Appearance[]

The Tuk-Tuk Boom Boom's chassis is based on the Tuk-Tuk Rickshaw. It's painted Agency black and the roof is completely removed for the turret to rotate.

Like most Agency vehicles, it can only be seen in black.

The vehicle was made by the fictional company Tuk-Tuk, but it was weaponized by The Agency. This is revealed by the vehicle's blueprints being in the laboratory/office of Dimah, who is known to have worked for the Agency before being "loaned" to Di Ravello.

Performance[]

The most important part of this vehicle is the autocannon in the back, which can rotate a full 360 degrees. Like all DLC, it's fully upgraded from the start. Just like on motorcycles, you can fire your single-handed weapon while driving it, but this damages the vehicle, see the bottom of the article for more information on this.

How to obtain[]

It used to be available for purchase as Downloadable content for Just Cause 2. But by now (when?) this vehicle is free to download off the PlayStation Network, Steam and the Xbox Live store. A recently bought PC version will already have it in the Black Market.

As this vehicle does not spawn anywhere in the game, Rico can only obtain this vehicle through purchasing from the Black Market for $50,000.

Note that this vehicle could still be available only as DLC in some places.

Via Modifying, the Black Market vehicles can be made free and it's also possible to make this vehicle spawn in road traffic.

Trivia[]

  • The recoil should realistically send the Tuk-Tuk flying backward, but in the game, the recoil doesn't affect the vehicle at all.
  • The cannon on the back resembles the automated artillery guns at Wajah Ramah Fortress but is much smaller.
  • There's writing in Cyrillic characters on the side of the cannon reading "РОДРО-АЗ". It appears to translate from Russian as "Rodro-A3."
  • As a part of the free "Legacy Pack" in Just Cause 4 (downloadable content for Just Cause 4), see Tuk-Tuk Boom Boom (JC4). This makes it one of the few vehicles to appear in multiple games like the Pocumtuck Nomad.
  • The concept might have been inspired by the Vespa 150 TAP.

Glitch[]

Main article: Just Cause 2 Vehicle glitches.

PC   There's a glitch that causes Rico to fire one of his one-handed guns simultaneously every time he fires the vehicle weapon. This results in a hole in the front window, which keeps getting bigger with every shot. By itself this won't actually do that much damage to the vehicle but the waste of ammunition is certainly annoying; the infinite-ammo auto cannon is plenty strong enough to handle anything coming at you. Shooting sideways is safe, because Rico will also shoot that way. Shooting backwards will make Rico wait until the camera is pointing forward (or to the side) again to make the shot.
