The Former Prisoners of Lacrima a.k.a. Lacrima Rebellion (their name is never mentioned, so it's unofficial) are a faction in the Mech Land Assault DLC of Just Cause 3.
Description[]
They are the freed prisoners who fight against the Black Hand at Insula Lacrima. They seem to be spearheaded by Eva, though there are at least 2 other "ringleaders".
Their flag is orange (the color of prisoner uniforms) and has a black drop of liquid in the middle. The drop represents a tear, as "lacrima" is the italian word for "tear". See this wikipedia article for what the tear might represent for prisoners.
Members and allies[]
All ringleaders are initially imprisoned in solitary confinement cells at the various prisons at Insula Lacrima.
- Eva - "Ringleader" and possibly main leader.
- Rico Rodriguez - Professional gunman.
- Gregorio - "Ringleader".
- Ivan - "Ringleader".
- Many former prisoners/soldiers.
Equipment[]
They appropriate equipment from the Black Hand.
Vehicles[]
- Weimaraner W3 off-roaders, captured from the Black Hand and repainted to their own colors. These variants are unnamed.
- Mechs, captured from the Black Hand and repainted to their own colors. These can only be seen during Storming the Hive, or if Rico summons a Rebel Support Mech via Rebel drop.
Weapons[]
- U-39 Plechovka as their standard weapon.
- Rebel controlled mech drivers can wield a variety of guns normally dual wielded by Rico, including the Prizrak U4, the CS Wraith 225R, and the U-24 Zabijak.
- During cut scenes they can be seen holding black assault rifles, which closely resembles the CS Predator.
- They can also be seen wielding the Urga Vdova 89, UVK-13, and Prizrak U4 in Storming the Hive.
Trivia[]
- Their fate after the events of the game is unknown. It is possible to speculate that they left the islands at some point to return to their countries of origin, although in-game they remain guarding the detention centers forever.
