The Galini M39 "Husher" is a weapon in Just Cause (1).
Appearance[]
Judging by both the appearance and the name, it's based on the Smith & Wesson Model 39, one version of which was called the "hush puppy".
It bears some resemblance to the Moretti P.94, but with a silencer attached to it.
It's the only pistol in the Just Cause game series that's equipped with a silencer.
Performance[]
As the silencer is purely cosmetic, it has no functional impact within the game. It does change the sound, but you'll still gain Heat as usual.
It's by far the quietest weapon in the Just Cause game series.
Location[]
- Paired with the Nova 9 silenced submachine gun at the "Agency 01 Camp Base" safehouse, making it one of the first respawning weapons you gain access to.
- The Montano Cartel uses this weapon in Test of Loyalty, when you are heading towards the unique purple Battaille GPT-6. In addition to that, they are suddenly equipped with the Aviv Scarab and Adler FF M-72. Note that these are guards outside the compound.
Trivia[]
- The Smith & Wesson Model 39 was commonly nicknamed as the "Hush puppy" due to the weapon being used to kill enemy dogs in tactical warfare.
