Generators are a type of Sabotage Destructible Objects in Just Cause 3.

Description[]

They're big boxes, painted in a combination of red and grey.

A generator is a machine that produces electrical power. The generator itself may be powered by wind (see Wind Turbine), internal combustion engines (back-up generators at hospitals and the small generators in motor vehicles), water turbines at dams, or just about anything else.

Destructibility[]

An explosive can easily destroy one. Otherwise, shooting will always eventually destroy them, but if the doors are grappled off/open, it only takes a few shots at the internal components to cause one to explode.

The generators in Porto Coclea, Espia Alta, Espia Bassa and Le Tutor are protected by a barrier, and the switches to open the barriers will be highlighted when Rico is nearby.

Glitch[]

{{Console unknown}} If you try to use the mech's GRIP on a generator while its barrier is closed, the generator will go all over the place because the GRIP is trying to pull the generator in but the game says it can not move because the barrier is closed. It will then soon blow up.
