Trivia[]
- Map icon confusion:
- It is reasonable to assume that a developer made an accident while assigning a classification for this military installation.
- It is also possible that Gunung Lapik may have been intended to be a military airbase in the conceptual phases before the map development began. This misclassification is simply an erroneous mistake and has no effect on gameplay or completion.
- It could be possible the base belongs to the Panauan Air Force. In many real-world militaries, air forces maintain ground infantry components. Consequently, this facility could be associated with a specialized unit within the Panauan Air Force, such as special forces, special warfare, security forces, military police, or a regular ground infantry unit. In this case, it likely serves as a supporting installation to the nearby large airbase, Kem Udara Wau Pantas. Additionally, it also could mean that this base belongs to the Panauan Air Force, but allows the Panauan Army or other branches to use the base. The latter reason is also common amongst most militaries in the world to allow different branches to use bases that don't belong to them. Or perhaps, this could be a joint base - although there is no official designation for that.
