Isla de los Annilos is a location in Just Cause 4. It's added by the Los Demonios DLC.
Description[]
Its name translates to “Island of the Rings” in Spanish.
From a distance, the islands resemble San Esperito, or south-east Panau. That means relatively low mountains covered with jungle. The island has only one known settlement/building. It's a large ancient-looking circular building that resembles an amphitheater. In-game, it's referred to as a necropolis.
The island is located at the north-east corner of Solís.
The supply drop doesn't work here.
History[]
This is explained in the mission The Artifact, which is set here.
At some point before the Spanish arrived, Solís was invaded by "demons". The Qacha people (one of the indigenous peoples of Solís) defeated this and constructed the building here to lock the demons away.
Quote from one of the loading screens: "For decades, Isla de los Annilos has been mostly forgotten about, its archaeological value thought to be long exhausted."
The "necropolis" was discovered again during the 21st century. An archaeologist called Simón Valencia then made a translation error and expected to find lots of gold here, but released the demons instead.
After The Artifact, a purple demon-infested dome appears over the necropolis. After clearing out all the infestations on the mainland, the dome will grow to cover the entire island. The dome will disappear after Extermination is complete.
