Joya del Sol is a city in Just Cause 4.

Description

In-game description: "A popular attraction for tourists, renowned for its ocean view and amusement park. An Espinosa-planned community."

It's a large city with an amusement park. The city has multiple highrise apartment buildings on the coast. There are smaller buildings like small houses and shops a bit more inland.

The city has a speculated population of around 2000-3500.

Functional amusement park

There's an amusement park that consists of several motorized rides near the water. Not all are functional though. The functional ones are a rocking ship, a carousel and a ferris wheel. Dysfunctional ones include bumper cars. The park also has an Easter Egg.

Location

In the south-western coast of Vaivenes.

Completion

• 2x Speed Stunt:
  • Pass through the ring faster than 60 km/h in any vehicle. This stunt is tricky in that it is located directly underneath the ferris wheel, where you could run into the... spinning things. This stunt unlocks the Calzada Ambulancia in supply drop.
  • Pass through the ring faster than 50 km/h in any vehicle. This one is located in a lake, so if you use a boat, it will be faster than 26 knots.
• 2x Wingsuit Stunt:
  • Wingsuit through all rings under 8 seconds.
  • Wingsuit through all rings under 10 seconds.

There are two additional challenges here. These don't count toward settlement completion, but do count towards 200% completion of the game.

• Wingsuit through all rings under 12(?) seconds. This is an Aerial Acrobatics challenge.
• Fly an EM-979 Airliner between a narrow gap between 2 buildings. This is a Solís Pro Tour challenge.

Trivia

• Joya del Sol translates to "Jewel of the Sun" from the Spanish language.
• The town is shown at the beginning of the "The World and Biomes Spotlight" YouTube video and "Many A True Nerd"'s Just Cause 4 gameplay video "The Need for Speed".
• This is the only location in Just Cause 4 to start with the letter "J".
