Kampung Perigi Lumpur is a village in Just Cause 2.

Description[]

There are ancient temple ruins in the north-eastern part of the village. Several farms are crammed into the village and they seem to be growing trees, which possibly become fruit-bearing later. The residential buildings are just a bunch of wooden cabins and slum shacks. There are no sandstone houses, as would be usual in the Lautan Lama Desert. Very unusually, the village is entirely free of the Panau Military, unless you cause Chaos and get Heat. This is most likely going to happen if you destroy the water tower.

The name means "Lumpur Wells Village" in Malaysian and "Village Cistern Mud" in Indonesian.

The village is also one of the locations featured in the Just Cause 2 Demo.

Location[]

On a hill in the south-western part of the desert.

Downhill, to the south-west, is the Kem Gunung Gurun Supply Depot (a stronghold for the Reapers). Slightly to the east is the race "Red Canyon Race" if unlocked. Down the road to the south-east is the Gunung Merah Radar Facility, which is where a part of Can I get a Witness takes place. Up north is Bandar Gereja Gurun and Gurun Lautan Lama Alpha. To the north-east is Kem Pekan Selamat, several other locations and the race "Desert Dash".

Population[]

There are 12 houses in this settlement. This would be able to support up to 24 married couples if they did not have children or other family. With the size of the houses, nearly all of them appear to support no more than 3 or 4 people at once.

When in game, the population suggests that there are more than 30 Civilians in the area. Going off of the housing infrastructure here, there would be an overpopulation problem in this settlement. However, a plausible explanation for the population overage is due to the citizens traveling to this settlement for work opportunities, visitation with friends or family, or general traveling.
