Kem Sungai Floodgates is a location in Just Cause 2.
Description[]
The name means "River Camp" in both Malay and Indonesian. The location is marked as a military base and is usually restricted. The area consists of the floodgates, some industrial buildings, a small camp in the north-west corner and the public road passing through the area. From the beginning, these floodgates and the Kem Rajang Floodgates will block off the waterway on the Rajang river, but after the featured mission, the waterway will be open. There are also a few containers here.

During River Runs Red, naval mines spawn here. This is the only time they are seen here, or even in the entire game.

Mission[]
This base plays a large role in the mission River Runs Red. The floodgates from both the Kem Sungai Floodgates and the neighbouring Kem Rajang Floodgates can be opened in this mission... this one with a rather explosive result. When the Minerva gets here, in the water behind the first gate, which opens automatically, there a whole bunch of floating Naval mines. You need another boat to detonate the mines. The blast will destroy the other gate and open the Rajang river for traffic. Driving a car from the base into the minefield also destroys them. Oddly, they make the sound of triggered explosives blowing up.
