The Lelaki Temple is a small unmarked settlement and a notable building in Just Cause 2.
Description[]
The temple is now in ruins and not much more than a small tower and some remaining stone columns.
The temple is among the many ancient buildings that the Ular Tribe built throughout Panau. The original purpose of this facility is unknown. It could have been anything from a shrine to a part of their culture around their drugs. Today, it's used to store the Ular Boys' drugs, kept away from the Panau Military.
There is an Armor Part at the east side of the temple.
"Lelaki" means "man" in Indonesian.
Location[]
On top of a hill at Pulau Kenjantanan, Senjakala Islands, just south of Pulau Ombak Merah. The area close to the temple is an open field, surrounded by the jungle.
Mission[]
Main article: Holy Smoke!.
The military found out about the usage of the old temple and planned a raid on it, which was stopped by Rico, during the events of the mission Holy Smoke!.
During the mission, the temple tower contains an opium storage tank, which is actually a modified vertical-standing Fuel Depot. After the mission, it disappears. Strangely, it is also not present before the mission.
Trivia[]
- Considering that there is no way that the modern silo could have fit into the temple ruin in one piece, it must have been assembled out of panels of sheet metal on the spot. If that is the case, it seems strange that they would paint it in Panau Military faction colors and symbols. Alternatively, it is also possible that the entire temple is a modern fake that was purposefully constructed around the silo in order to hide the silo and reduce suspicions about Ular activities in the vicinity. However, this is just speculation.
