Mario's Rebel Drops is a storyline mission in Just Cause 3.

For the equipment drop system see: Rebel drop.

Introduction[]

Mario calls Rico and asks him to meet him at the Manaea docks to talk about vehicles.

Mission briefing on the map: "Mario cryptically calls in to tell Rico he has a "proposition" for his boyhood friend. Rico heads to meet Mario by the docks of Manea, where Mario wants to discuss vehicles."

Walkthrough[]

Mario tells you to look at the garage on the dock and then tells you to get to a farm. Once there, you will have to steal an unguarded '69 Stria Sussurro scooter from Cecilia Crespo, then deliver it to a garage. It can be driven there, but using another faster vehicle and grappler tethers can help to speed things up. An Eubus Eagle spawn point should be along the route, and there are always land vehicles for the taking. Just remember not to bump up the scooter too much if towing or dragging it, as the vehicle might explode and fail the mission.

On the way Mario will explain that he is The Rebellion's equipment supplier. Any vehicle delivered to any garage will be examined by a team of specialists who will then reverse engineer it and produce more, which can then be delivered to rebels via rebel drop. Mario also explains they cannot convert certain D.R.M. and Medici Military equipment (tanks, aircraft, or boats), as that "draws too much heat". Instead, some of them must be unlocked by liberating military bases, while others are not available entirely.

Prompts to access rebel drop will then appear. Follow them and call a drop to finish the mission.

Trivia[]

  • While vehicles can still be brought to garages and military bases can still be liberated to unlock vehicles during this mission, the '69 Stria Sussurro seems to be coded differently to prevent players from breaking scripted events. Even if another normal one is processed first, Cecilia Crespo's copy of the vehicle must be specifically brought to the garage and unlocked.
  • Mario's joke "You could bring a boat to an airstrip if you wanted!" doesn't sound plausible initially, but he quickly clarifies it as an exaggeration regarding the compatibility of garages with just about any vehicle, as well as how Rico's grappling hook can tether vehicles, allowing otherwise impossible transport methods. A notable example would be the Squalo X7 speedboat, since it only has two spawn points, both of which are within isolated water bodies and must be hauled out through other means.
    • It's not known if this is related to cut game content from Just Cause 3, but in the final game there are no Frigo garages near an airfield, since Stria Ghibli 3 (the only aircraft unlocked via garages) is amphibious and does not require one. On the other hand, garages will accept boats on areas normally reserved for land vehicles.
  • This is one of the few missions where the Medici Military is not featured, and the first without connections to bavarium.
  • While it is possible to not do this mission after liberating Manaea, this mission must be done before Conflicting Interests to progress the game, making it the third/fourth/fifth mission completed.
