The Modelo 4 Tractor is a vehicle in Just Cause 4.

Appearance[]

It's a 1950s-style agricultural tractor with no roof.

The engine is exposed on the sides, as is commonly the case for tractors of this type and age. Tractors of this type are pretty much just a big engine and gearbox with some wheels attached to them.

The engine appears to be a straight 4.

It's available in dark blue, black and dark red paints.

Performance[]

It has a low maximum speed of 23 km/h, but as an agricultural tractor it doesn't need any more. The reverse speed is 20 km/h.

Going off road, on uneven terrain it's possible to see that only the front wheels have a suspension. This is realistic, as tractors are slow and normally rely more on their big soft tires. It's also revealed by occasional wheel-spin that it has 4-wheel drive.

It struggles on the steepest hills, but the grasslands area of Solís does not have a mountain that this tractor couldn't climb.

Driving slowly against the edge of a sidewalk, it can actually get stuck, unable to climb it. The solution is to use slightly more speed. Similarly, attempting to reverse up a steep hill, or stairs might not work, because the towing hook will touch ground and the bigger wheels will simply spin in the air.

Locations[]

  • Is driven on some of the fields in the grasslands biome. They don't tow any farming equipment, so the farmers seem to be inspecting the crops.
  • Parked at several farms in the grasslands biome:
  • Can be unlocked for supply drop by completing the Casa Mayu car stunt.

Trivia[]

  • JC4 reuses many JC3 vehicle models with only minimal changes. This vehicles seems to be a renamed copy of Stria Rustico.
  • According to the logo on the lower right corner of the HUD, it's manufactured by Armadillo.
