The Moseburg Cross Country Loader is a cut vehicle in Just Cause.
Appearance[]
It's a large truck, designed for towing a semi-trailer. It has an extra large front bumper; 14 externally mounted round front lights in addition to the two angular stock ones in the fenders; an extra large cabin for the driver to sleep in during very long trips; very large fuel tanks on both sides; externally mounted engine air filters and very thick vertical exhaust pipes. It's also equipped with a rear bumper, something that many real trucks of this type do not have.
It most closely resembles the "roadtrain" trucks of Australia.
The trailer attachment point (sometimes called "fifth wheel") is unrealistically far back on the most rearward end of the frame, similarly to the Próspero Hauler. It's unknown if the truck was meant to have a trailer.
Like most other civilian vehicles in JC1, it has a two-tone paint combination.
Performance[]
Seems to be reasonably fast and easily capable of pushing cars out of its way.
Versions and locations[]
It's cut game content from Just Cause. This means that the vehicle was cancelled from the game, but it's fully functionally still found in the game files. It's possible to spawn it using some modding.
Trivia[]
- See also: Stirling STL-3 Octavio, Miami - Sport Wave and Fukuda MH Ronin, the other three fully functional cut vehicles, found in the game files.
- With this vehicle in JC1, every released JC game has a truck of this type. URGA-9380 (JC2), Autostraad Reisender 7 (JC3) and Semi-trailer trucks (JC4).
- The game files for this vehicle call it "Mossberg" (lave_036_mossberg.ee), which is a real settlement in Sweden. Moseburg is a fictional german-sounding settlement name.
- The vehicle's hitbox differs from the actual model. This may be due to being unfinished, but is not uncommon in this game. For example, the Europ has a hitbox that makes it more like a van.
- The doors are not functional for entrance, making it only possible to enter the vehicle with the use of the grappler.
- Driver's position is also misplaced: it's placed somewhere in the sleeping compartment of the cabin, rather than on the front seat. This actually provides some advantage, as it is not possible to shoot the driver of this vehicle.
