Pekan Lalang Liar is a small town in Just Cause 2.
Description[]
The town is very small, made up of a few buildings and a construction site. The construction site is evidence that expansion is underway, so perhaps Pekan Lalang Liar was granted town status early in anticipation of urban expansion and construction projects that would cause the town to grow and draw in new residents.
The presence of a Kenwall Heavy Rescue firetruck may be evidence of big things in store for the small town. The nearby Panau Broadcasting Company Tower (PBC Tower) is no doubt the reason for the continuing development of this town. Many of the tower's staff are likely to be housed in this town and other towns around the tower.
This town has a magical (or just a map design error) floating bench, located between some houses just east of the Propaganda Trailer. It can be pulled down with the grappler.
Some of the shipping containers on the construction site are forming a large stunt ramp.
The name means "Wild Weeds Town" in Malay.

Some years ago Pekan Lalang Liar was nothing but a small village, but it started to grow after the PBC Tower was built. It then developed into a very small town that can be seen today.

Location[]
In Pelaut Archipelago, just north of Bandar Baru Nipah and PBC Tower, between three small mountains. It's the most northern city in Panau.
Trivia[]
- This settlement is a successor to the unnamed city in Los Hidalgos (JC1), which is also unique for the game, still under construction.
- This is one of the few settlements to have a Kenwall Heavy Rescue, even less so a red-marked version - meaning you obtain Heat if seen in it.
