Pekan Tupai Merah is a village and notable building in Just Cause 2.

Description

The village is on an island in the Sawah lake. It is unusual in that there aren't any common residential houses.

There's a large luxurious building with a walled park that could be a temple or a villa. Next to the main building a small Christian church with a cemetery can be found. This is one of the very few churches in Panau and the only cemetery. A dock is also located here, but no boats.

Unusually for a mere village, the island has a small civilian airfield, equipped with a helicopter landing pad and fuel depots. The island also has some small plantation fields and a pire. The settlement appears to serve some sort of religious purpose and could be the location of a wealthy christian sect.

There is no military presence.

The name means "Red Squirrel Town" in Malaysian.
