Pradesh is the nation where Just Cause: Mobile is partly set. That game got cancelled, so this nation might never get featured in a future game.
Location and geography[]
In south-east Asia. The nation is mostly landlocked, having access to a sea in a small area of the eastern border and a large lake at the south-west corner. The lake connects to the sea by a river.
History[]
The end of the Prologue Mission shows a large temple with a fortified wall and several towers and statues. This temple site is in good condition, indicating regular maintenance.
As explained at the beginning of Rise of the Dissidents, they have a long-standing divide with the neighbouring nation Harikstan.
Politics and government[]
Recent tensions with Harikstan are high as a result of agitation by their president. They have brought in Darkwater soldiers, to protect from "sudden incursions". The Agency suspects the president to actually be in Darkwater's pocket (expression meaning to be controlled by bribes, or blackmail).
The Agency is sending Firebrand soldiers to investigate and fight off the Darkwater.
On a different note, political billboards and propaganda loudspeakers (similar to the ones in Medici) are present throughout the country.
Economy[]
Modern rural areas (or at least Ajantra) are poor.
Military and law enforcement[]
Their military units have not yet been seen. Instead, there are Darkwater units everywhere.
Small towns, like Ajantra, have militia patrols. They walk around and carry melee weapons and low-end guns.
Trivia[]
- The map shows an upside down map of North Africa, South Europe, far West Asia, and a small potion of South America. The part chosen for the location of Pradesh covers the countries Algeria, Burkina Faso, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, and Tunisia.
