Prospero Aeroespacial is a military airfield in Just Cause 4.
Description[]
The description on the map states: "At this factory, every element of the Black Hand airforce is manufactured, from the smallest chopper to the massive cargo jets."
It's an aircraft factory and air force base.
The base/factory is relatively large and has multiple levels and areas, divided by the geography. There are steep mountains and cliffs all around the base. On one side there there is a railroad, but strangely no station and on another side is a small lake that has a waterfall that begins a river. There are 4 road entrances.
There is 1 main runway and two smaller runway-like places where planes could take off from, but which are meant to park planes. In addition to those there are 4 helicopter landing pads. The main building, next to the runway, has multiple large armored hangar doors. Some hangars are open and have aircraft parked inside and others are closed.
It is, or was (depends on whether you have completed the region strike mission), under the command of General Rojas, who Sargento claims is a "real hard case".
As one of the largest bases in Solís, Prospero Aeroespacial is equipped with a large amount of military hardware.
- The base is protected by multiple Defense Cannons and guard towers.
- 1 enormous radar dish.
- 1 sphere tank.
- Many smaller destructible items of various type.
Although this place only appears in Just Cause 4, it can safely be assumed that this airport manufactures aircraft for the Black Hand in both this game and previous games.
Although the base is large there is only a moderate amount of Black Hand presence. Most of the soldiers are privates, along with some snipers spawning in guard towers, and a small amount of riot shielders, machine gunners and grenadiers spawning in key areas of the base such as near the large turrets, breakers and the console the player needs to hack in the region strike. A piloted Bloodhound Siege Heli will always spawn. Furthermore, when being hacked, the console will spawn an infinite number of soldiers of different types. Note that if the player leaves the proximity hack, making it reset, the enemies that infinitely spawn will continue to spawn regardless of how many are killed.
Location[]
Umiña, in the north-west corner of the rain forest area, partly on the side of a mountain. The base is just barely below the snow-line, so from certain points of view, the base can be harder to see due to the constant snowfall and grey clouds (the base is actually in the buffer zone between the rainforest and the tundra biome which is why lower parts of the base a vibrant but upper parts are grey).
Vehicles[]
- Fellhawk Jet Fighter in Black Hand and Army of Chaos livery before and after the mission respectively.
- Cavalry Armored Truck in Black Hand and Army of Chaos livery before and after the mission respectively.
- Surveillance Airship (after the region is liberated).
- A pilot-less Black Hand (and after capture Army of Chaos) Firebrand Scout Chopper is constantly hovering here.
- Black Hand Bloodhound Siege Heli before capture.
Completion[]
- 2 x Surveillance Airship.
- 3 x Speed Stunt (aircraft highly recommended):
- Pass through the ring faster than 300 km/h.
- Pass through the ring faster than 150 km/h x 2.
- Wingsuit Stunt - pass through the rings under 10 seconds.
