The Prospero Shade is a vehicle in Just Cause 4. It's a downloadable content for Just Cause 4.

Appearance[]

This is a weaponized sports car with a mostly 1980s style and a big front bumper for ramming.

The engine is at the rear and covered by 3 panels that also hide the rear window. There's also a big spoiler and a turbo, right in the middle of the lower edge of the rear end. There's a sign that says "turbo" near the turbo. Very unusually, the front window is made of 3 separate panels.

The supply drop icon looks like the rear wheels are bigger, but they are not.

Performance[]

Very good and fast on a road, but with very little traction off-road.

It has 4-wheel drive and it comes with nitrous.

It has 4 machine guns with a total of 1600 cartridges built into the front end. When the engine is off the machine guns are stored inside the car body and hidden by the panels. When the engine is turned on, the panels rise up and the weapons are raised high enough to shoot properly. The crosshair is off-set to the left, to be right in front of the driver.

Aiming is very difficult as the machine guns are locked in a permanent position, and as a result will only face where the car is facing; so to aim elsewhere, the entire car has to face another angle. Because of this, it's difficult to do much damage to a vehicle that's actively trying to get away, but when you continuously hit them with uninterrupted fire (usually this is easier in close range car chases) most unarmored vehicles blow up pretty fast.

This vehicle is well suited for some of the Dare Devils of Destruction races.

If you're in a hurry to get somewhere, the Verdeleon Eco is better. On roads, both vehicles are obstructed by traffic and unable to realistically be driven near their top speed, but the Verdeleon has much more traction and is thereby less likely to crash.

Locations[]

This vehicle will only appear in the game once the "adversary assault vehicle pack" DLC is purchased.

Trivia[]

  • As a weaponized high-end sports car, it's the successor to Garret Paladin from JC1, Garret Traver-Z from JC2 and Weaponized Serpente from JC3.
  • As is indicated by the name, it's made by the Prospero corporation.
  • The engine sound of the car sounds like the 2019 Vistosa Supercar.
  • Since it looks like a civilian car (sort of), but has concealed weapons and high combat capabilities, it can be assumed to have been originally designed for agents or spies to use.
  • As a vehicle that appears in heat that does not appear if the DLC is not owned, this vehicle is almost a successor to the Mech in Just Cause 3.
