Pulau Dongeng is a military base in Just Cause 2.
Description[]
It's one of the largest bases in Selatan Archipelago and could also be classified as a military airport, as there's a small runway at the base. The area consists of a lot of concrete bunker buildings; the small runway; a mountain with a Communications Mast and other collectible and destructible items. The base has an outpost at the nearest public road, but the Broadcast Tower and Generator there don't count to the completion of the settlement.
Be careful when attacking this base with an aircraft, as it has 4 SAM sites protecting it. But after destroying these it's one of the best way to destroy the base, as it's filled with destructibles. If on foot, soldiers keep re-spawning at the west end.
The name means 'Fabled Island' in Indonesian and 'Fairy Island' in Malay. This is odd, as the military base isn't on it's own separate island.
It is possible the name and icon of the base have been swapped with Gunung Lapik in a development accident, as the name "Covered Mountain" would fit this base fairly well, just as the airport icon would.
Something rather unique about this place is that it has two crates of Triggered Explosives. However, it's easier to obtain those from Carcavoda Mountain, because this is a restricted area.
During the mission that takes place here, a Rocket Launcher ammunition crate spawns here as well. After the mission, assuming you didn't take it/refill ammunition, it disappears.
This military base is abandoned after the 100% completion , so , it's not restriction anymore.
