The Río Wanay is a large river in Just Cause 4.
Description[]
The Río Wanay is a large river with several branches that runs through north-east Solís. There are many villages dotted along the river and several military locations such as Academia Wanay and Prospero Astillero.
It is often quite deep, some parts being upwards of 30 meters in depth. The whole river is very murky and muddy, which is probably why it has an exit delta in Delta Río Wanay.
Location[]
The Río Wanay (including tributaries and runoffs) flows through almost every region in the jungle biome of Solís.
Trivia[]
- This is one of the longest rivers in the known Just Cause Universe. The previous games also have some long rivers, but those are on the same level as the surrounding ocean, so they're only rivers in-universe. That same reason is why they don't really flow and why we can't know which way they would flow at the junctions.
- The waters between the San Esperito islands can count as rivers, but those do not have known names and they have many exits to the surrounding ocean, so those would count as separate rivers. Most of them seem to start at the lake in the middle, but some of them are just canals that separate the landmass.
- The rivers in Panau are also quite long, but have the same problems as the San Esperitian ones.
