The Rubber Ducky is a vehicle in Just Cause 3 and Just Cause 4.
Appearance[]
It's a large classical rubber duck, the size of a small car. There's handle bars on the back and an engine exhaust at the tail.
In JC4 once it's blown up, the eyes turn to crosses.
Performance (JC3)[]
It handles and sounds just like a Jet ski.
On smooth water (like at a lake), it can momentarily get up to about 34 knots, but mostly stays in the upper twenties.
Turning is very difficult, because the vehicle over steers a lot and will very easily spin out of control. Holding a turn control when beginning to move will cause the vehicle to spin on the spot.
Performance (JC4)[]
Like a normal jet ski. At low speed it can turn very sharply, but the fast spinning is no longer possible, improving its usefulness. The vehicle now has a "nitros" speed boost and "turbo boost" jump abilities.
Because Solís has no consistently smooth water it's very difficult to determine its exact maximum speeds.
Conditions | Without nitrous | With nitrous |
---|---|---|
On normal water (bouncing constantly) | 35 to 45 knots | |
On smoothish water (this may be just a rare water physics glitch) | ~65 knots | |
Up a river | ~30 knots | |
Down a river | 50 to 70 knots |
Locations (JC3)[]
- Look at the Map and find the Val de Mar province at Insula Striate. Go to the north-east corner of the middle lake there. On dry land, slightly covered by trees are two Rubber Ducky jet skis. These two are roughly at N 40 46.345 E 5 42.800, north of Guardia Val de Mar II.
- At the eastern corner of the lake in the province of Costa Sud, specifically N 40 44.695 E 5 44.315, northwest of Griphon. This province is at south-eastern Insula Striate.
Unfortunately, this vehicle can not be unlocked at the Rebel drop garage, because according to Alessia, they can't do anything with it.
How to obtain (JC4)[]
This vehicle was added to the game on August 15th, 2019 as a part of the free "Legacy Pack" Downloadable content for Just Cause 4. Once the DLC is downloaded, Rico can only operate this vehicle through ordering from supply drop.
Trivia[]
- This vehicle is considered to be one of the Easter Eggs in Just Cause 3.
