The SW2 Rodelero Rifle is a weapon in Just Cause 4.

Appearance

It is an assault rifle. The weapon is very similar in appearance to Just Cause 3's U-39 Plechovka except with a different cartridge.

Performance

It is a assault rifle exclusively used by the Army of Chaos.

The weapon in general lacks the versatility compared to those used by the Black Hand, more specifically its direct counterpart, the SW9. The weapon fires a bit slower than the SW9 and each round seems to deal less damage as well, amounting to an overall lower damage per second. For that, it provides little incentive to use this assault rifle rather than others. Additionally, the fact that this weapon is only wielded by Army of Chaos rebels means that ammo is not going to be as common when carrying out strike missions, or just in combat against the Black Hand in general.

Locations

It can only be obtained off dead Army of Chaos soldiers. Usually this is more common near the front line.

Trivia

• Along with the SW9 Assault Rifle, this is the successor to the U-39 Plechovka from Just Cause 3.
• The designation "SW2" suggests the Rodelero might be an earlier model of rifle which was replaced by the SW9.
  • The SW2, however, looks nothing like the SW9. In-universe, they are probably two completely separate rifles that were adopted by the Black Hand under similar designations.
  • Story wise, this could alternatively mean that when the Black Hand in JC3 used U-39 Plechovkas, they could actually be using the SW2 without graffiti (or the Army of Chaos could be using U-39s with graffiti), as both look alike.
• A "rodelero" is a type of 16th-century Spanish soldier armed with a sword and buckler.
