Sakura is an automobile manufacturing company in Just Cause 2.

Name[]

Sakura is a Japanese word which can mean many different things, like for example a dish made of raw horse meat, or a cherry tree. Wikipedia disambiguation for "Sakura".

Strangely, the logo says "MING". Perhaps the "Sakura" brand is owned by a larger "MING" corporation? Another possibility is that Sakura is a series of cars within the car manufacturer MING. It could also be Cut game content from Just Cause 2, MING being the original name of Sakura.

This company may be based on the real-world company Mitsubishi due to the name and how the Metro ST is based on the Lancer Evolution V. Panau is a Southeast Asian nation, so Sakura might also be based on Proton.

Description[]

Sakura automobiles are some of the most common vehicles, found in every area of Panau. Sakura has one known model, the compact car Aquila which is found in many variants - including one used by the Panau Taxi Service.

The fact that the Sakura cars are the most common makes sense considering that they're all mid-size and really economical (other than the Metro ST).
