Sirocco is a group of islands in in the Just Cause 3.

Fonte South

Description[]

The island covers two provinces: Sirocco Nord and Sirocco Sud. These are the most south-eastern locations in the game, with the southern province controlling the most southern location in the game, the island hosting Le Galera. Due to their location, these provinces are named for the southeastern wind, SiroccoVigilator Nord sister base, Vigilator Sud is located in Sirocco Sud.

The islands are not that large by area or by population. The islands have a total land area of less than 60 square kilometres and have a speculated population of around 5000 people.

The island group consists of three inhabited islands (Sirocco Nord, Sirocco Sud and the prison island of Le Galera.) In total the group has around 25 islands and islets.

Geography[]

The islands are mountainous with no inland bodies of water. In the north most there are little to no trees. In the south there is a small forest next to Vigilator Sud.

Infrastructure[]

The islands have multiple paved roads and some dirt roads. The islands only have one civilian bridge connecting them to each other. If that bridge is destroyed, the only way to go from Sirocco Sud to Sirocco Nord and vice-versa, is by going through Porto Vena.

The islands also have 3 ports: One medium-sized civilian port in the norther part of the northern island, The colossal military port of Porto Vena in the middle of the islands and a small military dock in the south-east of Sirocco Sud.

History[]

The islands don't have any ancient ruins. Despite this, these islands are important for the lore of Just Cause 3, because Di Ravello's first deployment after graduating boot camp happened here. He also built the base of Le Tutor. He also ordered his soldiers to build infrastructure on the islands to gain popularity for himself. It is mentioned in the Di Ravello tapes that the commander of Porto Sirocco during that time was Brigadier general De Luca.

The town of Cirilla is possibly one of the oldest settlements on the island, due it being named after Cirillo Salrosa, patriarch of the ancient Salirosan people.
