Soñoliento is a settlement in Just Cause 4.

Description[]

Quote from the map marker: "Many of the inhabitants are support staff employed at Campo Infierno."

This is a medium-size town. A road leads down to a nearby beach that has an additional restaurant.

The town seems to have more public buildings than houses. There are several stores and restaurants, a church and a junkyard with 3 vehicle wrecks.

There's a large road passing the town on its northern edge and an Espetrol fuel station next to the road.

The town has a normal amount of civilians. Many of them seem to be tourists.

The most important building in town[]

The north-east corner of town has a small fenced area with a single brick building. This building seems to be very important to the town. It has a fence around it and on the southern side there's a large metal cabinet with a warning for "high voltage". All the towns power lines lead here. Two workers are staring at the cabinet and discussing technical details.

On the opposite side of the brick building is a plastic toilet with a person waiting at the door.

There are two security cameras mounted about 10-20 cm off the ground for some reason. One is next to the door and the other is at the back corner, behind the plastic outhouse. Are these meant to warn of a mouse invasion? Alternatively, the cameras might be monitoring the ground for some science experiment.

Beach area[]

This area has a restaurant, some beach umbrellas, an additional place with a small stone wall and some chairs.

Location[]

In the Laderas Rojas region on the southern coast of the desert.

Vehicles[]

Occasionally there's a chance that no cars spawn at the town, possibly indicating that the cars are all at randomized parking spots that can spawn any civilian vehicles.

Trivia[]

  • "Soñoliento" means "sleepy" in Spanish.
