The Stormalong EM Zero is a weapon featured in the Danger Rising DLC for Just Cause 4.

Appearance[]

It's shaped like a large shotgun-like device with a big orange end that splits in two. There are wires and electronics all over the gun, giving it a futuristic look.

It's mostly white and has a yellow canister connected to its bottom.

Performance[]

It is, at its core, a gravity gun. It functions much like the Mech's GRIP from Just Cause 3 and the same as the Brawler Mech.

Holding down the primary fire button picks up objects and holds them just in front of Rico, and upon releasing the trigger, it launches the object away. NPCs are thrown a little less than fifty meters away and small vehicles like trucks and cars are thrown fifteen or so meters away. Tanks will shift a few meters. Holding down the trigger continuously uses ammunition, so it's advised to throw an object away (by releasing the trigger) shortly after picking it up, to preserve ammo.

Secondary Fire emits a high-power pulse of some sort of energy. The pulse's effect is similar to that of the PWC V4.2 Wind Gun: it launches every moveable object backwards. The distance it is launched back depends on how heavy the object is. NPCs are thrown 200+ meters away, light vehicles are thrown about 100 meters away and tanks are thrown about 50 meters away. If Rico is in a parachute as he uses the force pulse, he will be launched in the opposite direction. Unlike the Wind Gun, it does not require a charge-up: clicking the secondary fire button once will immediately release a force pulse and use up a chunk of ammunition.

Trivia[]

  • This weapon also has resemblance to the other regular experimental weapons in Just Cause 4, including DA 9.3 Lightning Gun, PWC V4.2 Wind Gun, and RG-PBA 9 Railgun.
    • Due to how much tech on the subs seem to be from Solís, it would be safe to assume that they could have combined and reversed engineered technologies from Solís to create this gun.
    • Alternatively, the Próspero could have developed and sold this to the Agency secretly, similar to Illapa.
  • Since this weapon can be found in Agency crates, but not on soldiers, its purpose may instead be that of a tool. This also helps explain how the equipment was set up so fast around the submarines.
