Meaning of FOW

"FOW could mean Foward Operating Weapon with operating likely referring to bavarium."

How exactly does "operating" refer to bavarium? GMRE (talk) 16:12, May 25, 2016 (UTC)

There has been a lot of speculation about what it means from edits by anonymous users. Frankly, I thought it could mean "Forward Operating Weapon", but there have also been guesses such as "Field Operational Weapon", "Field Offensive Weapon", and even "Freaking/Fu**ing Overpowered Weapon", but ultimately it's unknown what it stands for.

I don't know how it relates to Bavarium.

Frankly, I'm going to go ahead and remove it, unless a "name speculation" section will want to be added Anonymous230385 ^{Any questions? Wanna talk?}

I was looking around on the Internet and a bunch of forums have proposed names for it including

• "Field Offensive Weapon"
• "Field Ordinance Weapon
• "Field Operating Weapon"
• "Field Oppression Weapon"
• "Forward Operating Weapon"
• "Faction Orbital Weapon"
• "Final Offensive Weapon"
• "F***ing Overpowered Weapon"
• "Front Oriented Weapon"
• "Fixed Orbital Weapon"

The "Faction Orbital Weapon" and "Fixed Orbital Weapon" can be crossed off the list since none of those weapons have anything to do with factions and none of them have anything to do with orbit. GMRE (talk) 07:44, May 11, 2017 (UTC)

Rumor from discord

The true meaning (or lack of) was revealed on discord by some apparent writer for JC3. I don't know who this writer is, but the "director" they mentioned would had to have been Roland Lesterlin. GMRE (talk) 22:41, 6 February 2021 (UTC)
