Template[]

I can't edit the template because I don't have the permisions. Could an admin change the bit that says its available on ps3 to: PS3 (only available as a PS2 classic in the PSN store) Speeddaemon (talk) 20:19, March 17, 2013 (UTC)

Turns out it was because I wasn't logged in... XD Speeddaemon (talk) 20:19, March 17, 2013 (UTC)
Hehe, the boxes themselves are locked since the last week, but aside from them, anyone can edit most articles if logged in...other than the Main Page or the Poll Archive. (AdminSaddex Any questions? 20:27, March 17, 2013 (UTC))
My bad. I added PS3, because it was in the table at Just Cause game series. I just looked at wikipedia and they don't show PS3 either. I'll fix the table. GMRE (talk) 20:50, March 17, 2013 (UTC)
Well as SD said it's available for the PS3 as a PS2 classic on the store, essentially it's a slightly modified version running in Sony's own emulator. I'm not sure if there's any real differences since I never had the actual PS2 version to play. And a comparison with the PC version would be less fair. CeriCat (talk) 03:33, May 17, 2014 (UTC)
Oh. Added it. GMRE (talk) 13:48, May 17, 2014 (UTC)

Some things that are better in JC1 than in JC2 (My opinion)[]

  • Ground Vehicle handling.
  • Soundtrack.
  • Voice acting.

(AdminSaddex Any questions? 23:23, May 24, 2013 (UTC))

It is better for doing things like liberations whereas in JC2 you can only control 9 settlements. Also JC1 has less military present after all provinces have been liberated. But both games are quite good, performing well in most aspects and exceeding brilliantly in some. EnemyHunter (How may I help?) (talk) 10:14, May 25, 2013 (UTC)
Indeed, both are brilliant games. (AdminSaddex Any questions? 10:29, May 25, 2013 (UTC))

Yeah, it's mostly a better game[]

  • Safehouses.
  • More and better military vehicles.
  • An airforce that actually sends planes after you.
  • Much better vehicle handling.

GMRE (talk) 12:54, May 25, 2013 (UTC)

I like that you can save your vehicles at the safehouses, but maky times I forget to refill my resources. (AdminSaddex Any questions? 13:49, May 25, 2013 (UTC))

And some things that are worse[]

  • Movement. You are bound to helicopters and planes if you want to move around freely. Biggest downfall of the game.
  • Graphics (Obviously, since it's older.)
  • Physics.
  • Liberation will soon start to get repetative.
  • And the second biggest downfall is of course the map and its mostly generic locations.
  • Fewer things to destroy.

That's why I like JC2 better. However, it's overall awesome, I rate it 8/10. (AdminSaddex Any questions? 13:49, May 25, 2013 (UTC))

Trivia[]

Coincidentally a 64km^2 map would have made JC nearly four times as large as JC2 as well given the map coordinates begin at 0m , 0m and terminate at 32,768m , 32,768m. We'd all still be exploring San Esperito today. CeriCat (talk) 07:32, May 11, 2014 (UTC)
