Just Cause Wiki

Large page?[]

I might break this page up into Just Cause (1) modding and Just Cause 2 modding.

For the moment i'll just split the page into two sections but IF they become large enough they will most likely be better suited to have their own pages such as;

Just Cause Modding and Just Cause 2 Modding

There is still no need for the page to be split and it's doubtable if there will be, unless there will be some major expansion. GMRE (talk) 19:01, November 3, 2013 (UTC)
See Just Cause Wiki:Manual of Style for the policy about splitting long pages. GMRE (talk) 23:04, December 31, 2015 (UTC)

A possible useful mod[]

According to 190.213.56.146, the mod "around the world mod" is useful because "it makes you see new contenents and countries". GMRE (talk) 16:30, February 11, 2014 (UTC)

Myth of a JC1 mod[]

There's a myth that there was once a superman mod for JC1, but it was reportedly a little glitchy and the mod was never developed to the point where Rico would have had the correct superman pose while flying. There does not seem to be any trace of this mod left on the interwebs. GMRE (talk) 23:02, December 31, 2015 (UTC)

JC1 modding[]

Fine by me. Albeit I think Rare Vehicles should use a note that it is possible to do stuff with Cheat Engine instead of hunting.

Also, if there's any interest, I can record a video about manipulating the spawnpoints, which somewhat broadens the horizons as it is possible to get some of the air and sea vehicles that way.

That sounds interesting, I guess. I'm sure any fans of JC1 would like to spawn more vehicles. Is it only possible to replace existing spawn points, or could you add like 1000 additional ones? GMRE (talk) 15:21, 19 May 2021 (UTC)
I sure cannot add spawn points. What I'm able to do though is to change the vehicles the game spawns at already existing spawnpoints. There are line size limits though, and the only spawnpoints that are unlimited are the spawnpoints for the heavy drop vehicles.
I also can change the faction color of any vehicles in traffic and any vehicles at safehouse spawnpoints. I still struggle to edit faction colors of heavy drop vehicles and vehicles parked at non-safehose spawnpoints. So far I'm only able to do this with cars, while all other kinds of vehicles seem to be beyound my reach.

Small update: by a stroke of luck I was able to find yet another address. This seemingly affects all non-safehouse drop points. There might be blindspots I haven't noticed, but...
Most importantly, it affects drop boxes spawns. And since drop boxes has no line size limit, these two edits, in combination, is an ultimative solution that allows the player to get any vehicle in any color almost anywhere.
I will record a video tomorrow.
