Tanjung Besar is a military base in Just Cause 2.

Description

The base is a usual forest camp, located south of the M2 Highway on the northern coast of Tanah Raya. There's a lot of wooden barracks, wooden Guard Towers and small hangars. This is the only forest camp in the Pelaut Archipelago. The name means "Great cape" in Malaysian and "Large promontory" in Indonesian.

There is a minigun at the entrance. There is also a dirt road in a T-junction at the front of the base, but it is a dead end. In the middle of the base, loads of stuff can be found, including Red Barrels, crates and sandbags. Since the public road passes close to the base, ground reinforcements are able to arrive that way.

The base will be partly or completely deserted after completion and the area is no longer restricted.

Something relatively rare is that the guard tower where a soldier with a Submachine Gun (be it grunt or elite) usually spawns is not present. There is also a vehicle part in the tower.
