This article may seem complete to the untrained eye, but the gaps in information are still large enough for this elite team of Panauan Ninjas to hide inside of. |

Tankers are oil tanker ships, in Just Cause (1).
Description[]
They are by far the largest vehicles in the game, and one of the largest in the Just Cause Game Series. They are so big that they appear on the PDA Maps. They're usually parked at the offshore rigs, but can also be seen in some sidemissions. Usually they don't have anything on deck (other than a system of pipes), but when they appear in the Rioja sidemissions, there's a bunch of wooden boxes and steel barrels lying around the deck. Also, during the mission there are a few ladders leading from the water to the deck.
The ships don't have any known names. The Rioja boss, who gives the mission, refers to it simply as the "tanker" and as "his big ass tanker".
They are normally believed to belong to the San Esperito oil company EL gas, but the one in the sidemission is confirmed to belong to an unnamed government fat-cat.
Unfortunately it's very difficult to accurately measure the size of the ship. The only time when there is a convenient mission marker on the ship itself is during the Rioja sidemission that has a glitch that turns the ship invisible. It is roughly 160 to 200 meters long.
Locations[]
- 2 of them (with out helicopter landing pads) are next to oil platforms on the western edge of the map. They are so big that they appear on the PDA map.
- One of them (with a helicopter landing pad) appears in Rioja sidemission 1. Side-missions are different in different areas, so be sure to do the missions at the motorcycle race. This specific tanker belongs to a "government fat-cat" who has to be assassinated.
Performance[]
These vehicles can not be driven in and they appear only as stationary objects - Stationary vehicles.
Glitch[]
Main article: Just Cause Bugs and glitches.
PC There's a glitch that causes the ship to sometimes appear invisible during the whole Rioja mission. The ship may also flicker between visible and invisible, depending on the angle you view it from. There is no known way to fix this glitch.
Trivia[]
- Rico still remembers these massive ships a decade after seeing them. In the Suit Up mission in Just Cause 3, he said that the eDEN Airship "looks like a massive tanker".
