While this is a novel idea, I always figured Just Cause was one of the few game series' that managed to be over the top without the use of cheats. The Black Market is a lot like cheating except it's validated through in-game money.
@22.214.171.124 If you don't mind me asking, have you played it? Or was this revealed in an interview somewhere? The gameplay videos I've seen did say that they have invincibility "turned on", but they didn't call them cheat codes.
I doubt they'll leave those in. I think the developers are using those so they could do their job easier. But the Modding community might be able to re-enable them.
This reminds me, GTA San Andreas has something like 50 different cheat codes. One code does not work because it was disabeled by the developers. It's a code that would have allowed the player to select a storyline mission to activate. A code like that would basically mean timetravel. The point is that this disabeled code is believed to have been used by developers to make their work easier.
Implying that the grappling hook engine isn't already a practical cheat, you're overpowered in Just Cause 2.
Some cheats I would like to see would be this:
Telepathic explosions (A gun that doesn't appear in your hand, but when you fire it, Rico points at where you're aiming, and that area explodes.)
Infinite Grapple (Look at a location and then grapple there, which was a mod in Just Cause 2 and I loved it.)
Spawn vehicles (Be able to select any vehicle in any variant in the game and spawn it at your location, I'd use it for wiki purposes or to confirm/deny vehicle existences.)
Play as Anyone Else (Saint's Row 2's Gentlemen of the Row mod had a cheat system added where you could change your playermodel to literally anything in the game. I want to be able to play the game as any playermodel except Rico if I want to, like a police/military NPC, or Maria Kane, should she return which I don't think she will.)
JC2 mods also let you change the character model. Unfortunately civilians are programed differently, so their models can't be used. Just Cause 2 Multiplayer has all available models.
Infinite grapplers can't actually be done. The best mods can do is set the cable to something like up to X km long. I have a 2 km cable mod, but the trouble is that if I miss a helicopter, or edge of the roof, I have to wait for like 20 to 30 seconds (or what was it?) until Ricos right hand becomes usable again. That's because the grappler cable will still try to go all the way to its maximum distance and then return at a set speed. Also, the most distant objects and hills are not necessarily completely there, so grappling to the far end of the map in a single go might not really be possible. Also, wouldn't Extraction work faster?
I hate mods there harder to use and u have to have a computer I really hope they make cheats for just cause 3 like infinite ammo, all weapons, invincibility, grabbling hook dont break and more cool cheats.
